MyOfAI

Law firms

Private AI for law firms. Client files stay on a server your firm controls.

We install a private AI system in your office or host a dedicated one for you. Your team gets search, summaries and first drafts over your own case files, and a lawyer reviews every output.

What your ethics duties still require

Running AI on your own premises does not end your supervision duties. If an outside company installs or supports the system, that vendor is someone your firm supervises.

  • ABA Formal Opinion 512 (2024) says informed consent is needed before client information is entered into a self-learning tool, and that the risk remains even when only lawyers at the same firm use it.
  • Florida Bar Opinion 24-1 (2024, advisory) treats an in-house AI system as one that can mitigate confidentiality concerns. It still leaves supervision, accuracy review and fee practices in place.
  • No opinion we reviewed requires local AI, and none gives a safe harbor.

What stays your lawyers' job

  • A lawyer reviews and signs off on every output. Every output is a draft.
  • The system does not give legal advice, research current law or decide a case.
  • We do not claim that any system satisfies an ethics rule, statute or regulation.

Questions

Where do our client files go?

They are processed on a server in your office, or on a server reserved for your firm only if you choose MyOfAI Space. Your documents, prompts and AI answers never leave the system.

Does a lawyer still need to review the output?

Yes. The system prepares drafts and summaries. A lawyer reviews and finishes them.

What do we get for our vendor-supervision file?

Ten documents with every installation: security measures, retention and deletion, the no-training and data-flow statement, incident notice terms, remote access, licenses, liability terms, sample engagement-letter language, an acceptable-use policy and a security questionnaire with a right to audit.
